Surplus Americans invites the public to join a community-wide celebration honoring veterans at “A Salute to Veterans” - San Marcos Veterans Day Festival on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This free family-friendly event is a salute to the service and sacrifice of our local veterans and will feature live music, food and activities for all ages.
The event takes place at San Marcos Plaza Park. Opening ceremonies will start with the San Marcos High School AF-JROTC Color Guard at 11 a.m. accompanied by the San Marcos High School Marching Band playing the National Anthem.
There will be a line up of musical acts and entertainment as well as a range of options from local food trucks. Additionally, there will be family-friendly activities including games and face painting as well as a resource fair with an array of local organizations and services dedicated to supporting veterans and their families.
