More than 100 San Marcos Rotarians and community volunteers helped international nonprofit Rise Against Hunger to package 15,000 food packets. Each packet cooks up to serve six meals. They will be shipped overseas to assist people in some part of the world experiencing famine. This is the fourth year that the Rotary Club of San Marcos has partnered with Rise Against Hunger. A large number of volunteers came from Texas State University and the San Marcos Academy. Right, rice and soy food packets with dried veggies and vitamins. Below, many of the volunteers.
