HAYS COUNTY FOOTBALL
Wimberley shutout the Smithville Tigers 56-0 as the Texans improved their record to 7-2 for the year.
The Texans rushed for 279 yards over the Tigers along with six touchdowns. Running back Josh Belanger led the team in rushing with three carries for 129 yards and two touchdowns.
Wimberley closes out the year against Lago Vista at home with the winner taking home the District 13 Title.
LEHMAN WINS FIRST GAME OVER CEDAR CREEK
Lehman defeated the Cedar Creek Eagles 4138 for the Lobos first win of the season in an offensive shootout.
Lehman was led by freshman running back Zayne Barber who had 37 carries for 163 yards and two touchdowns.
Lehman closes out the season against the archrival Hays Hawks.
JOHNSON DEFEATS JUDSON TO STAY IN PLAYOFF HUNT
Johnson held off the Converse Judson Rockets 38-36 to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Jaguars improved their record to 6-3 overall.
Senior running back Kael Hatnot rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns for the Jaguars.
Johnson will be on the road against Cibolo Steele to close out the season.
HAYS FALLS TO A&M CONSOLIDATED
Hays was unable to contain the A&M Consolidated Tigers in a 49-0 loss for the Hawks. Hays drops their record to 3-6 overall.
Hays will close out the season against the rival Lehman Lobos.
