The city of San Marcos has several volunteer opportunities for those that would like to contribute to keeping the community vibrant.
There is a Downtown Clean Up, which meets from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. every Wednesday at the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, located at 202 CM Allen at Hutchison. Help is needed with landscaping, sticker removal, litter cleanup, painting, and more. Three to five volunteers are needed each Wednesday. On Harvey Miller Day of Service the city will host a Hot Spot Clean Up from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Nov. 2 starting at Eddie Durham Park, located at 205 West MLK Drive. Volunteers will help pick up litter throughout the Dunbar Neighborhood. All supplies will be provided.
