On Sept. 11, 2001, the world stopped. On Sept. 12, their stories moved us all. Some of these stories transpire in the heart of Gander, Newfoundland, where redirected passengers from American airways met with the citizens of a small Canadian town who embraced 7,000 stunned and grieving travelers.
Returning to Bass Concert Hall by popular demand, “Come From Away” shares the remarkable true story of the tiny town of Gander and the 7,000 passengers who took up refuge there in the wake of 9-11. Cultures clash and nerves ran high, but as the citizens of Gander endeavored to comfort their unexpected guests, hope rekindled and healing began.
