LOCAL ART
The city of San Marcos' most recent and grand mural, Flowing Through San Marcos, will have a dedication ceremony at 6 p.m. on Friday at the soon-to-be-opened Thirsty Planet; both the mural and brewery are located in the shopping center at 110 E. MLK Drive. Light refreshments will be served.
The mural was commissioned by the San Marcos Arts Commission and completed by artist Andrey Kravtsov, who works under the name Key Detail. More than 200 feet long, the mural is the largest of its kind in San Marcos and invites viewers to celebrate the community’s history and culture.
