Wimberley's vibrant community has long been united by two fundamental elements: art and water. With this deep connection in mind, Something in the Water, a bi-monthly concert series, is set to take place at 7A Resort’s Opera House benefiting The Watershed Association on Oct. 25. This event not only highlights the creative spirit that flows through Wimberley but also supports critical efforts to protect the region's invaluable water resources.
The Opera House at 7A Resort is part of Pioneer Town, a recreation of an 1880s Old West themed town main street. Georgia Parker Swing band and Sentimental Family Band will play starting at 7 p.m. on Oct. 25. Tickets range from $25 to $35.
The Watershed Association, a local nonprofit, is dedicated to conserving and restoring water systems in Central Texas, including the beloved Jacob’s Well, Cypress Creek and Blanco River. As part of their mission, they focus on sustainable water management, education and preserving the natural beauty of these essential ecosystems. Through their Art4Water program, they emphasize the powerful intersection of art, culture and environmental stewardship, using creative expression as a catalyst for conservation.
Something in the Water is more than just a music series; it’s a celebration of the unity between the art community and water. Each ticket sold directly contributes to The Watershed Association’s ongoing work, ensuring future generations can continue to enjoy the springs, rivers and creeks that shape the identity of this unique region.
