Daisy’s Vision, a local nonprofit organization, is dedicated to serving the community of San Mar- cos, with a special focus on aiding the families of the San Marcos Housing Authority. Established in 2021 by Founder William “Daisy” Williams, the organization’s mission is rooted in both personal experience and a deep connection to the Allen Woods neighborhood.
Daisy’s lifelong dream was to give back to the community he grew up in. Daisy, along with his siblings Linda, Cathy, Phillip and Joseph and his mother, Robbie Mae Williams, lived in Allen Woods, a part of the San Marcos Housing Authority, for 12 years. For Daisy, Allen Woods wasn’t just a neighborhood — it was home. From first grade to high school graduation, Daisy’s time in Allen Woods shaped his character and instilled a passion for helping others in similar situations.
Now, Williams’ Vision is committed to providing resources, support and aid to families in need within the San Marcos Housing Authority. The organization has garnered support and guidance from a dedicated Board of Directors, and its impact is felt across the community.
Williams’ Vision stands as a testament to the power of resilience, generosity, and community. Williams’ friends are determined to keep his dream alive even after his passing almost two years ago. Williams’ vision remains committed to improving the lives of families in the San Marcos housing authorities through meaningful support and outreach.
There is a $10 suggested donation for Rocktober Fest. For information, call 512-496-6543 or search Daisy’s Vision on Facebook.
