If there is one thing I’ve learned about Halloween, it’s that ghosts, ghouls and goblins like candy and pumpkins, though I’m not entirely sure why. But if your Halloween spirit needs a tasty snack or extra decoration, this weekend is for you. On Friday, there is the Trunk of Treat at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Then, the Great Pumpkin Patch at La Cima will have pumpkins decorating, pumpkin smashing, face painting, family photo opportunities and more. It runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday at 301 Central Park Loop.
Saturday night is BOO! Hole In Wimberley at Blue Hole Regional Park. It is a great family friendly event with a trick-or-treat trail, carnival games, a haunted trail, s’mores and a showing of Hocus Pocus. The main trick-or-treat runs from 4 to 8 p.m. but some other activities go later into the night. If you don’t get your pumpkin this weekend, the First United Methodist Church Is hosting the annual Party in the Patch on Oct. 23 as well.
