With temperatures finally dropping into an autumnal range, music festival season is in full swing in the Hill Country. This weekend we have three local music tests to attend - one commemorating a major milestone, and two others to support a good cause. Starting Friday night at 7 p.m., Cheatham Street Warehouse celebrates its 50th anniversary. The weekend-long music festival will feature Midnight River Choir, Jamison Eddleman, Ian Kocurek, Tanner Menegay and Bo Moore. Sunday’s performances are already sold out, so get your Friday tickets now at cheathamstreet.com. On Saturday, Devil’s Backbone is hosting its Raise Da’ Roof Party in order to literally raise the historic tavern’s roof. The party starts at noon, and tickets for that day-long festival are available at devilsbackbonetavern.com/live-music. Finally, Rocktober Fest - an all-day music benefiting Daisy’s Vision - will take place Saturday, Oct. 19 from 1 to 10 p.m. at San Marcos Railyard. The festival will feature live music by Audio Outlaws, Wyzer, Lit up, Knucklehead, Undercover Kills and Voltage Overdrive. These local rock bands are donating their time and energy to create an unforgettable rock-n-roll show, all for a good cause.
