WEH Asian Fusion, a San Marcos-based restaurant known for blending Asian flavors with a modern twist, celebrated its third anniversary on Sept. 16 with a unique Merienda event held at the Meridian in Buda, Texas. The celebration took place on Sunday, Sept. 22, bringing together Filipino food lovers to mark this exciting milestone.
The Merienda event, inspired by the Filipino tradition of a late-afternoon snack, featured a curated selection of WEH Asian Fusion's signature dishes. Guests enjoyed small bites ranging from their renowned crispy lumpia, fried chicken adobo with ube waffles and many more.
The event was designed to showcase WEH Asian Fusion’s culinary journey over the past three years and highlight the Meridian’s commitment to providing a unique, authentic yet innovative dining experience.
“We are thrilled to be celebrating three years of success, and what better way to do it than by sharing our love of our culture and food with our community,” Triz Esguerra, owner, chef and San Marcos Resident, said. “Our customers are the heart of everything we do, and this Merienda is a unique way of saying thank you for their continued support.”
The Meridian venue, located in the heart of Buda, provided the backdrop for this special dining occasion. Decorated with banana leaves and florals, the atmosphere was designed to be both welcoming and celebratory. In addition to the food and drinks, prizes from local businesses were raffled off.
As WEH Asian Fusion reflects on three years of growth and culinary innovation, restaurant owners and employees express excitement for the future. Plans are already underway to expand the menu with even more exciting fusion dishes and seasonal specials.
