Chamber announces winners of inaugural ‘Rally for the Rattlers’
Three local businesses have been announced as the winners of the inaugural Rally for the Rattlers decorating contest.
The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce launched this new spirit campaign to encourage businesses to show their support for San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District and San Marcos High School during homecoming week.
Local businesses were invited to participate by decorating their interiors, exteriors and windows to help “paint the town” purple and show support for SMCISD. The contest featured three categories: Best Interior, Best Exterior and Best Window Signage.
Corridor Title took home Best Interior, KnD’s Boutique won Best Exterior and Mano Amiga won Best Window Signage.

“Each of these businesses went above and beyond, creatively transforming their spaces into showcases of Rattler pride,” the chamber said in a release announcing the winners. “Their dedication to the community and our schools is truly inspiring.”
Photos of the decorated locations are now available online and were featured during San Marcos High School’s Homecoming game. The winners were also recognized at the game and received complimentary tickets along with other special prizes in appreciation of their participation and support.
