Find out what is going on in downtown San Marcos today as the city of San Marcos Downtown Manager Josie Falletta will speak at Rotary’s weekly luncheon at Texas Roadhouse on Sept. 4, from noon to 1 p.m. Guests are welcome to attend.
San Marcos’ downtown is booming with new business, development and the biggest turnover of vacant commercial space in recent years. Falletta’s presentation will cover all of these exciting changes and educate listeners on the purpose and programming of the Main Street Program, along with what residents can do to support local businesses. She will share the importance of shopping small, as well as speak about the many upcoming events taking place in downtown San Marcos.
Falletta is a proud graduate of San Marcos High School, and recently received a master’s in public administration from Texas State University. She is passionate about vibrant communities and loves learning best practices from other cities by wandering their streets. When she is not promoting downtown or dreaming big for her city, Falletta can be found riding a bike, kayaking the San Marcos River or creating ceramic artwork.
