San Marcos fell in straight sets to the San Antonio Reagan Rattlers, losing 3-0 [25-19, 25-17, 25-15] in the snakeskin showdown.
San Marcos drops their overall record to 10-8 overall while Reagan improves to 10-7. San Marcos fought valiantly in the first set but was unable to overcome Reagan, losing 25-19.
San Marcos again battled Reagan fiercely in the second set but were once again foiled, losing 2517 and falling behind in match play 2-0.
The hole was too deep for San Marcos to overcome as Reagan cruised to a 25-15 win in the third set to complete the threematch sweep.
San Marcos will be back on the road this Friday as the Rattlers take on the Austin LASA Raptors.
Both teams met previously in the Ragin’ Rattler Tournament in pool play where San Marcos won 2-0 [29-27, 25-21].
Tip-off is currently set for 6:30 p.m. Friday night at Austin LASA High School.
