Texas State, along with the Sun Belt and American Athletic conferences and ESPN, announced four official dates and start times on Thursday for the Bobcats’ 2019 football schedule.
The team will kick off the season on a Thursday, Aug. 29, at 7:30 p.m. in College Station against Texas A&M. It will be head coach Jake Spavital’s first game at Kyle Field since he was the Aggies' offensive coordinator from 2013-2015. It will also be Texas State’s first game at the venue since 2005. The game will air on SEC Network.
The Bobcats will return home the next week to host Wyoming on Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. on ESPN+. The maroon and gold will venture back out on Sept. 14 to face SMU in Dallas, taking place at 6 p.m. on ESPN3.
The Sun Belt Conference also announced a second Thursday game for Texas State. The team will host Louisiana-Monroe on October 10 at 8:15 p.m. inside Bobcat Stadium. The game will air on ESPNU.
The remaining start times and network schedules on the Bobcats’ schedule will be released 12 days before each game.
