On Wednesday, April 3, in the fully-restored Charles S. Cock House Museum, the Heritage Guild will host the grand opening of the Cottage Kitchen from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., resuming its tradition of serving lunches to the public.
For almost 50 years, prior to the COVID shutdown, the Cottage Kitchen luncheons not only provided food served in a San Marcos landmark, but also became a community gathering place for locals. The proceeds helped to fund other preservation projects, and the homemade desserts were often the talk of the town.
The Heritage Guild invites the public to celebrate this long-awaited lunch at $10 per person. The menu will feature tri-salads on a bed of greens with a small croissant, iced tea and a grand finale of various desserts and classic roasted coffee.
Don’t miss this historic opening on April 3 with another classic luncheon in the city’s own front yard.
