Your true community radio family would like to thank you, our listeners and supporters, for your continued encouragement and support. You are the reason we are here! The programming we provide is a direct result of the diversity of our community. However, we are always working to increase our reach to others whose needs and desires have not yet been met.
Currently, we are in the process of training a new group of individuals whose hope is to host their own radio programs. We are excited at the prospect of providing fresh programs hosted by fresh personalities. Others simply wish to learn how they may contribute their talents and abilities to further the mission of your community radio station. As the scope of our mission grows, so does the need for help from individuals with specialized skills. There are many tasks which do not require having previous radio experience. Anyone interested can ask our radio hosts who are usually at the Farmer’s Market every Saturday, in the Kissing Alley, or at any of the events which we host. While you are there, take home a printed program schedule. Our new programs will begin in February and will be listed in the printed schedule for that month as well as online, on our website.
Metal Mark, the “Godson of Heavy Metal,” has awakened the metal community. He has hosted three heavy metal concert series and has another event on the horizon that will be held at Jack’s Roadhouse once again. Tune in on Friday nights at 10 p.m. for more details.
In the Kissing Alley this month we will be entertained by Ella Reid and KZSM’s own Richard Watson on Jan. 17. Join us for a night of music from these two singer/songwriters. We will begin the evening with a representative from Heat Bootcamp with suggestions on how to regain your pre-holiday physique and possibly a sampling of exercises that you can do at home.
Are nuptials in your future? If they are, how about doing something uniquely San Marcan? Qualified members of our staff will be happy to do the honors for you in the Kissing Alley in the month of February! Why pay a fortune for a wedding when we can officiate for you in a quirky location for a fraction of the cost?
Of course, this will require meeting with one of our officiants prior to the event and a license, which is your responsibility, will be required!
KZSM (Just a little bit south of weird!), now streaming world-wide on the internet on KZSM.org.
