Dear Voters

I am a proud mother to four sons, three of which that have graduated through the San Marcos CISD school system and a current San Marcos HS student. SMCISD has done a tremendous job educating my boys and I am thankful for the supportive administration and caring teachers of the district.

This May, I encourage our San Marcos community to support all four propositions on the ballot for San Marcos CISD. Proposition A is the attendance credit election. If voted against, taxpayers will see an increase in our tax rate, the state can come and detach properties such as Amazon, and the Outlet Malls from the district’s tax property value.

Proposition B allows our district to enhance the safety and security of our school buildings and update most of our facilities. This will attract great teachers and benefits our future leaders– the students!

Proposition C will update the artificial turf at San Marcos Stadium for our athletes, Fine Arts students, and the community that utilize this field throughout the year.

Proposition D will bring to San Marcos the first ever Natatorium. We are a beautiful river city so if we can provide swimming instruction to our youth, we as a community will be better because of it!

We have an opportunity to give back for the betterment of our students and community.

Please vote for all four propositions and support the students of San Marcos CISD!

Vote yes! Let's all rally to go vote yes. Respectfully,

Ellen Ault
