San Marcos will conclude its spring camp on Friday with its annual Spring Game.
The Rattlers have been practicing three times a week in each of the last four weeks to prepare for the upcoming season. They’ll look to improve this fall after reaching the playoffs for the first time in four years in 2021.
To give this year’s scrimmage a twist, San Marcos announced that each team will have school administrators calling plays on the sideline as honorary offensive and defensive coordinators. SMCISD Superintendent Michael Cardona will serve as the purple team’s OC and Chief of Communications Andrew Fernandez will serve as the DC. Executive Director of Operations Bernie Sandoval will be the white team’s OC and San Marcos High School principal Denisha Presley will be the DC.
The Spring Game takes place inside San Marcos Toyota Rattler Stadium on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
