The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar (a.k.a The Armadillo), an Austin holiday shopping staple for over 45 seasons, announces the return of the in-person festival for 2021 with an expanded footprint. This season The Armadillo will amplify the fine-art scene with an additional 25,000 of square footage enabling more local and national art, live music and local food than ever before. Treating around 40,000 Texans and tourists to a family-friendly, entertaining holiday shopping experience, The Armadillo will run Dec. 15-24 at the Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Road, Austin.

The Armadillo offers shoppers the opportunity for a heightened shopping experience by personally meeting and engaging with local and touring artists amidst the spirited sounds of featured musicians. Added space this season allows for an expanded lineup of curated artists to run the gamut of every art lover, collector or first-time festival goer.

“After such a disruptive past year, we are overjoyed to announce the return to in-person — and bigger than ever. The Armadillo Art Concierge was a great success, and we were so proud the community continued to support our mission, but nothing beats face-to-face interaction with the artists and their art,” said producer Anne Johnson. “This season will celebrate the longstanding Austin tradition as well as introduce an Armadillo for the new Austin. A collection of the most creative and talented artists from across the nation and our own backyard will make a truly amazing fine art festival. There are also additional changes in the works that will breathe new life into this Austin staple, and we can’t wait to share more on that soon. We’ve missed the festive tradition of dancing in the aisles to live music while shopping and discovering art and can’t wait to come back together again.”

The Armadillo is the holiday shopping destination where fine art is accessible: build an art collection while discovering new, local and awardwinning artists. From the affordable masterpiece to that timeless piece of art – this fine art fair is like no other, where everyone is welcome and cheer is in abundance.
