Our beloved father, grandfather, relative and friend Luis Garza Sr. was called to eternal peace by our Heavenly Father on March 14, 2019 with his family by his side. Luis was born to Andres and Maria Garza on Aug. 19, 1931 in San Marcos, Texas. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Romana Garza, son-in-law San Juan Espinoza, grandson Joshua Garza, and great grandson Wyatt Sobeck.
Mr. Garza was an honest, hardworking man, who forever impacted the lives of his loved ones. He will always be remembered by his family as the epitome of a man; husband, father, and grandfather. There was never a distance too far or a task to large that he would not accomplish for them. His love for God was apparent to each of them, for he never allowed them to depart without the blessings of God upon them— vaya con Dios he always said.
He will forever rejoice in heaven, joined with his Almighty Father and adoring wife. He is survived by a large and loving family: daughter Antonia and husband Louis Ruiz, daughter Hortencia Garza, daughter Alicia and husband Edwin Roche, daughter Susie Garza and Jesse Velasquez, daughter Ema and husband Octavio Diaz, daughter Dora and husband Leonard Moreno Sr., son Luis Garza Jr. and wife Barbara, son Miguel Garza and wife Delvia, son Ricardo Garza and wife Rose, 21 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
