Public meeting slated on CR 266 changes

The public is invited to voice their opinions about a proposal to relieve traffic congestion by connecting CR 266 to FM 110, and turning the Hwy. 123 and CR 266 intersection into a right-in, right-out traffic pattern.

“Increased growth in the area has led to more traffic in the area, and after consulting with our highway engineering partners, these two proposals seem to be the best way to help alleviate that congestion,” Pct. 1 Commissioner Debbie Gonzales Ingalsbe said.

“But, we want to hear from area residents and those who travel along those roadways about their traffic concerns, and if they have other ideas that might be a better fit for the area.”

The meeting is set for March 26 at 6 p.m. at the San Marcos High School cafeteria, 2601 Rattler Road in San Marcos.

Commissioner Ingalsbe will be happy to answer questions about the meeting or the project and can be contacted at [email protected] or 512-393-2243.
