Linda Faye Pruitt neé Williams, 67, of San Marcos, Texas, died on Thursday, December 17, 2020. She was born April 12, 1953 in Industry, Texas, to the Milton Williams Sr. and Annie B. Ray Williams. She was the sixth oldest of 11 siblings. She attended Prairie View A&M University, attaining her master’s degree summa cum laude in her class. She married Clovus Don Pruitt in August 1974.
A very loving and caring person, for many years she did community service, teaching people the Bible. She was an educator for over 30 years, impacting the lives of young adult. Health conditions ended her career, forcing her to leave her position as a counselor at San Marcos High School. The motto she lived by was, “give your best to your students, and they will give their best to you.”
She is proceeded in death by her father Milton Williams Sr. and sisters Mildred Williams, Gloria Stephens, and Christene Carter. She leaves to mourn her, her husband Clovus D. Pruitt (San Marcos), daughter Nikki Bass (Bryan), mother Annie B. Williams (Industry), sister Doris Peterson and husband Tom (Desoto), brother Melton Williams Jr. and wife Ruth (Brenham), brother Eugene Williams and wife Bernadette (Houston), sister Dorothy Lewis and husband Charles (Frisco), Jenitha Moore (San Marcos), Yvonne Aneke and husband Mark (Sachse), Diane Williams (Industry), Lisa Wells and husband Ronnie (Navasota); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
