State association honors 2018 Chamber Guide for marketing

The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce was awarded second place for the San Marcos 2018 Chamber Welcome Guide in the Marketing Campaign category by the Texas Chambers of Commerce Executives (TCCE)

At the end of their melee practice, Viking Invasion members raise their weapons as they chant “Jomsborg! Jomsborg!” to end their weekly training session at Veterans Park. Viking Invasion is an organization devoted to perpetuating the spirit and traditions of the Viking Age. Members learn to wield weapons of the age and to craft and maintain armor, along with other skills.

Recovery group winding down efforts

After helping 1,600 Central Texas families recover from the 2015 floods, the Blanco River Regional Recovery Team (BR3T) is winding down operations – but it is not going anywhere.
