At its Dec. 5 meeting, Hays County Commissioners Court proclaimed Dec. 2-8 as National Influenza Vaccination Week and encouraged those who have not already received a flu shot to visit

The Gary Job Corps Student Government Association (SGA) and Recreation Department recently conducted a food drive for the Hays County Food Bank to help feed those in need for the Thanksgiving holiday. Thanks to several staff who participated by bringing in can foods, nonperishable items and monetary donation of $229.65 the community brought in 208 pounds of food items feeding 10 families for a week.
