Commissioners’ agenda heavy on executive sessions

Hays County
Tuesday, September 4, 2018

The Hays County Commissioners Court agenda for this morning’s meeting includes four executive session items that could result in action in open court.

The first is consultation with counsel regarding right-of-way along the proposed Farm to Market Road 110 in Precinct 1. The second is consultation with counsel regarding pending and/or contemplated litigation involving the county. Consultation and deliberation regarding all individual positions in the sheriff’s office is also listed as an item for closed session, asis consultation regarding real property in or near Ranch to Market Road 3237 between FM 150 and Ranch Road 12 in Precinct 3.

In other business, as part of their consent agenda, the commissioners are slated to authorize the purchase of equipment for law enforcement vehicles for all five constables’ offices. A change order with HD Cooks Rock Solid Inc. regarding work on auxiliary spillway repairs is also on the consent agenda; part of the requested cost increase includes rental fees for equipment the firm had to abandon temporarily because of golden-cheeked warbler breeding season at one of the sites where repairs were taking place.

The commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. on the third floor of the Hays County Courthouse.
