This has been a great summer so far for runners in San Marcos.
The weather has ranged from warm to almost hot for most of the year. These last two weeks have reminded us that it is still summer in Texas and the days can get hot.
With temperatures reaching the 100-degree mark, now and then it creates problems for runners in the form of heat-related awareness.
With runners that run everyday there is a certain amount of acclimatization that they can adapt to, but the danger is still there.
