Q. Where can I find information about Black history in San Marcos?
My journey took me this week to Black History Month. May I share with you a special memory from my days of combat in Vietnam?

Things are pretty uneventful around my place; a lot of fat robins are monopolizing my backyard birdbath and various finches are pecking away at my hanging suet blocks.

A cheesecake recipe can be useful on any special occasion, and especially so on Valentine’s Day. For many people, cheesecake is not cheesecake without the addition of ricotta cheese. While ricotta is included in savory dishes like lasagna or manicotti, it is at home in desserts like cheesecake as well.
Summerific Cranberry Crush is shorter than Holy Grail reach only 4 feet tall. The fiery scarlet blooms and deep green maple-like foliage create an exotic contrast.
Summerific Spinderella is also new in 2021 and creates a wow not only with its blend of colors but the illusion that it is spinning in the garden.
The Summerfic Holy Grail hibiscus, which was photographed in June, shows the tropical looking feel of the large, deep-red flowers.

The National Garden Bureau has declared 2021 The Year of the Hardy Hibiscus and The Garden Guy thinks this is absolutely terrific. Actually, I would go a-step further and say it is Summerific.
Although 2020 didn’t go as planned, the San Marcos Art League unveiled its first batch of Art Squared tote bags during the last art market season, designed by local artist Jo Hunter. This year, the Art League will be rolling out a new design in time for the Art Squared market season in March, and they want help from the community.
