San Marcos Public Library celebrates the Fourth of July with festive craft
Ellie Payne and Kaylie Juergens prepare to launch rubber band rockets they made at the San Marcos Public Library’s Red, White and Blue craft. The library’s summer reading program, Dig Into Reading, continues through Aug. 2 with more crafts, puppet shows, storytimes, kids’ concerts and special guest performers. Pick up the big yellow summer calendar at the library or check out all the upcoming free events at www.sanmarcostx.gov/library. SMPL also offers a summer reading program for kids and adults. Reading logs can be picked up at the library and for every log completed, there’s a chance to win prizes. The last day to turn in reading logs is July 31 and winners will be notified by Aug. 2. The library is located at 625 E. Hopkins St. For more information call (512) 393-8200 or email SMPL@sanmarcostx.gov.
