Pawsitive stress buster
Dayna Perez (left) and Alex Hughes enjoy time with Laredo, one of several dogs from Pawsitive Energy visiting Alkek Library at Texas State University as students prepare for exams. Research has shown that petting dogs can help lower stress and test anxiety, in some cases leading students scores to increase by 5-10 percent according to the trainers. The company also works with elementary students with children with reading difficulties. (Photo by David Short).
