An evening at the masquerade
Last Saturday, dads and daughters from the community gathered to dance the night away at Texas State’s LBJ Ballroom for the 8th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance. This event, put on by Hill Country Christian School, is designed to bring dads and daughters together to enjoy a special night out.
Daughters came in wearing flowing dresses, sparkly shoes and glittery masks, while fathers were decked out in their coat jacket and tie and one special dad came will a full Zorro costume to dance the night away with his daughter.
The music stylings of DJ Chris Burkhimer brought about some additional life to the party when he lead the dance crowd to Michael Jackson’s infamous “Thriller.” There were also lots of desserts to be enjoyed and coffee for the dads to help keep them going out on the dance floor.
At the end of the dance all dads and daughters made their way to the dance floor one last time as they slow danced to Steven Curtis Chapman’s “Cinderella” which was sure to remind dads that their daughters are growing up and soon enough will be asking them to practice for their weddings.
