College Basketball: Brown gets his scholarship back, bills still up in air
One down. A few more to go.
The Brown recently won a small battle against Texas State, as the university reinstated their son’s (Basil Brown II) athletic scholarship. Even though no promises were made as to team membership, the Brown family considered it a step in the right direction.
“At least that’s not an issue any longer,” Basil Brown, Sr. said. “We still have a way to go, but we’re pleased with the developments.”
A potential court case hinges on the medical fees the Brown family paid following two surgeries on their son. Brown II had been hurt during an organized team scrimmage with a recruit participating.
