City traffic projects
Projects affecting San Marcos traffic for week of Oct 13-19
NORTH LBJ: Oct. 14 until Spring 2015. Reconstruction project will start for street, sidewalk, drainage, water and wastewater improvements. Motorists will be detoured northbound on LBJ from Forest to Holland Streets and will use Chestnut as a southbound route during construction. Engineering/Capital Improvements, (512) 393-8130.
BISHOP STREET: City crews have started Phase I restriping from Hopkins to Progress Street. Residential driveway access will be maintain the project. Work will occur on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. 5 p.m. Public Services-Transportation Department, (512) 393-8036.
EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET: Every Saturday from 8 a.m. 3 p.m. Half a block of street closed from the alley to N. LBJ for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program, (512) 393-8430.
DUNBAR NEIGHBORHOOD MILL & OVERLAY: Phase I began Oct. 8. Project will include Wilson, Faris, Mitchell, Gravel, Mead, Johnson and Daily streets. Project length estimate is 3-4 weeks depending on weather. Public Services - Transportation, (512) 393-8036
EDWARD GARY FROM UNIVERSITY TO SOUTH OF HUTCHISON INTERSECTION: Southbound lane will be closed for reconstruction of east half of Edward Gary/Hutchison intersection Until Oct. 23, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Engineering/Capital Improvements, (512) 393-8130
HUTCHISON ST & EDWARD GARY: Five parking spaces closed Oct. 14 - 17, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for building renovation.

LONG TERM ROAD CLOSURES:
SESSOM WW PHASE II PROJECT: Bike lanes and parking on CM Allen from IH-35 to first set of railroad tracks closed to make room for construction activity until mid-November; two-way traffic remains open but is shifted over. Engineering/Capital Improvements, (512) 393-8130
