There was a bit of unexpected adversity Thursday night.

Texas State (4-3) had to overcome an early deficit to eventually rout Oklahoma Panhandle State, 75-44, inside Strahan Coliseum and push the team back over .500 on the season. The Bobcats didn’t expect to be facing a 7-point deficit nearly five minutes into the first half, but Riyadh Asad’s layup gave the Aggies a 9-2 edge over head coach Danny Kaspar’s team near the 16-minute mark.
