The San Marcos Art League is hosting the first ever Goth & Glow exhibition at the San Marcos Art Center. The show features inspired works of art that have a spooky, glowing twist as they are transformed with black lights as well as well as pieces that express an appreciation for dark romanticism and horror themes associated with modern gothic rock.
The opening reception was on Oct. 10 and was held in a darkened gallery with lots of hand held black lights, glowing face paints and a DJ pounding out electronica. The opening was interactive and engaging with a very positive buzz in the room.
The Goth & Glow Exhibition is open through Nov. 1st. One can visit the show located at the San Marcos Art Center at 117 N Guadalupe St., #101 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.
