This recipe is as delicious as it sounds. I got the recipe from my boyfriend’s mother, after I fell in love with the sweet, maple-and-soy-sauce-marinated fish with a peppery bite. This recipe is not entirely uncommon, I later found similar recipes online. Despite this, it is a classic that should not be underestimated.
Making it even more delicious, I used some maple syrup I purchased at the Saturday farmers market, by Blackberry Farms. It’s a little more pricey than the your already-not-so-cheap maple syrup, but if you’re willing to make that sacrifice, it’s worth a try. My boyfriend and I tried a small sample at the market and were very impressed by how pure and sweet it tasted. We were left with no choice but to buy a bottle.
