United We Sing concert approaching

The Heart Of Texas Chorus will present the 13th Annual United We Sing concert on Sunday, Sept. 13 at Evans Auditorium at 3 p.m.  
The concert is a community service event that honors the nation’s military, first responders and the heroes and victims of the tragic events of 9-11-01.
The free two-hour concert is presented in partnership with the Texas State University College of Fine Arts and Communication and features many talented performers from the San Marcos and Central Texas area.

Born in Boulder, Colorado, musician Eric Sommer has developed a following in Texas. He has two upcoming shows in San Marcos. The first performance is this Friday at 9 p.m. at Wake The Dead. (Eric Sommer)

Singers wanted for United We Sing concert

The 13th annual United We Sing concert presented by the Heart Of Texas Chorus and the Texas State University College of Fine Arts and Communication will be held at Evans Auditorium on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 3 p.m.
This free concert is an inspiring musical tribute to our nation’s military, first responders and heroes and victims of the tragic events of 9-11-01. It features some of the area’s finest musical talent.
Singers are wanted for the Community Chorus, which has traditionally been one of the highlights of the concert.
