Maria Macias

Surrounded by her family and loved ones, Maria Macias passed peacefully and was released from her earthly bonds, and escorted by the angels of our Heavenly Father on Feb. 10, 2013 at the young age of 59.
Born Sept. 16, 1953 in Seguin, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Maria is preceded in death by her loving son Guadalupe Albert Macias, parents Albert and Frances Hernandez and aunt Agapita Hernandez.
Even though her stay was short, her life had many chapters, but her family and faith in God were her priorities. She showed her warmth and kindness through her caring for others. Her presence, like the wind, will always be felt and her mark in life will be carried on through her children, grandchildren snd great-grandson who she cherished so much.
Survivors are husband Salvador Macias Sr. of San Marcos, son Salvador Macias Jr. and wife Christina of Austin, daughters Frances Mossman and husband James of Georgetown, Cynthia Stobaugh of Toledo, Ohio, Crystal Suarez and husband Rick of Kyle, brothers Albert Jr. and Ernest Hernandez of San Marcos, Jesse Hernandez of San Antonio, Robert Hernandez of Martindale and sisters Refugia Hernandez and Frances Marmolejo, both of San Marcos, 11 grandchildren: Joshua and Alexia Mossman, Andrew Martinez, Mary and Elena Stobaugh, Salvador E. III, Seth E., and Samantha E. Macias, Alexanndra and Brianna Suarez and Julianna Gonzales with great-grandson Cristian Gabriel Martinez.
Visitation will is today from 2 to 7:30 p.m. at Los Angeles Funeral Home. Recitation of Rosary will be tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Los Angeles Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Victor Mayorga will officiate. Interment will follow in San Pedro Cemetery in San Marcos.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ernest Jr., Albert, Jesse and Robert Hernandez, Rick Suarez and Salvador Macias Jr.
