With her family by her bedside, Florencia Narvaiz, a resident of San Marcos, was received in the hands of our Heavenly Father on June 30, 2013 at the golden age of 93. Born Jan. 31, 1920 in Bastrop, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, she has been reunited into Heaven by her loving husband Leon Narvaiz; parents Celso and Juanita Aguilera; and all her brothers and sisters. Our mother liked to sew in her pastime and outside gardening when she could do so. But cooking and baking for the family, especially during the holidays was very special for her — to create love, joy and peace to the household. We cherish her spirit, warmth and smile. We thank God for giving her to us for as long as we had her. She will be dearly missed but not forgotten in our hearts.
Survivors are daughters Dora Flores and husband Henry, Josphine Mendoza and husband Robert, Rosalinda Perez and husband Jerry, Oralia Carlile and Zorida Rodriguez and husband Jerry, all of San Marcos, Florinda Tobasco of Baytown and Annette Cervantes and husband Samuel of Kyle; sons Amado Narvaiz Sr. and wife Linda, Eloy Narvaiz and wife Estella of San Marcos and Edward Narvaiz and wife Angie of Baytown; with 116 grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
