Dr. Kerley new president of the ACRO
Not all nationally recognized cancer doctors are in Houston, Boston, San Francisco or New York.
Local Oncologist Dr. J. Michael Kerley is currently serving as the president of the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO).
As president, he will preside over this year’s national gathering of the country's top cancer specialists at the American College of Radiation Oncology Annual Conference this week in San Antonio.
Dr.Kerley is the medical director for The Sundance Center for Cancer Care in New Braunfels and the Wonder World Center for Cancer Care in San Marcos.
The ACRO is the professional medical society established for educational and scientific purposes to advance the science and practice of radiation oncology.
Dr. Kerley is triple board certified by the ACR Board of Radiation Oncology, the American Board of Medical Oncology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
He is active in the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Brachytherapy Society.
He completed his undergraduate studies graduating with honors from Rice University. He received his Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
