College Football: Night of Champs on deck for State
Now that spring camp is over, Texas State can finally relax. Or can they?
Even though the Bobcats wrapped up spring ball last Saturday with the annual Maroon and Gold Spring Game, there is still a lot of work to do in the offseason to prepare for their first season in the Sun Belt Conference. Texas State, however, showed a lot of promise in the spring game, which Maroon won by a score of 28-14.
“We challenged them a lot this spring and for the most part, they answered every challenge,” Bobcat head coach Dennis Franchione said. “I commended them on their effort and retention through the tough schedule.”
Two rewards waited for Texas State’s players at the conclusion of spring camp.
