College Football: Golden Eagles look to soar once again in 2013
Southern Mississippi had quite the fall from grace in 2012.
Just one year earlier, the Golden Eagles went 12-2 and were the only team to beat the Case Keenum-led Houston Cougars. USM had its way with UH in the Conference-USA championship game as it blasted the Cougars by a score of 49-28.
During the offseason, the Golden Eagles lost their head coach (Larry Fedora) to an open job at North Carolina and several important seniors graduated. Fedora spent four seasons at USM, compiling a 34-19 record.
