College Basketball: State's women host Mavs
Fresh off a road trip where it snapped a three-game losing streak, Texas State looks to gain a little momentum at home.
The Bobcats have an opportunity to sweep UT-Arlington and get a little revenge on Louisiana Tech. Earlier this season, Texas State beat the Mavericks for its first win in the Western Athletic Conference two days after suffering a 13-point loss to the Lady Techsters.
One of the Bobcats looking to continue her strong play as of late is senior guard Diamond Ford.
Last Saturday, Ford moved into sole possession of fourth place on the all-time scoring list at Texas State when she scored 21 points in a 75-62 loss at Denver. Ford edged ahead of former Bobcat standout Carlotta Fisbeck (1967-71) and needs 164 points to tie Tori Talbert (2001-05) for third place.
Tip-off between Texas State and UTA is scheduled for 7 p.m.
