This year’s Foodstock has a lot more to offer, being in conjunction with the city’s Rhythm of the Street event this Saturday. Foodstock starts at 1 p.m. and Hays County Food Bank Community Relations Coordinator, Jane Moore, says the Rhythm of the Street organizers will speak a bit about their master plan at 1 and 3 p.m. on the square.
The Hays County Food Bank hosts their Foodstock event only three times a year, and will be on the courthouse lawn from 1-6 p.m. A variety of local restaurants and businesses, including Little Guys Movers, Root Cellar Café and Tantra Coffeehouse, are sponsoring the event.
A new Foodstock feature will be a Unicycle Football demonstration at 1:15 p.m.
“They’re actually going to be having a bit of a scrimmage that people can watch,” said Moore, who said she’s been trying to organize something with the league for a long time. “It’s finally going to happen.”
