Few places on planet earth are as beautiful as the Texas Hill Country in the spring. Even though this is not a banner wildflower spring it’s not a total loss. There are flowers if you know the best places to look.
Last weekend I combined a fishing, hunting, flower-viewing trip in my favorite areas of the Hill Country. My plan was to meet my Georgetown friend, Flynn William, to hunt exotic animals on his ranch near Harper on Friday afternoon.
So why not pitch the kayak in the truck, fish for white bass below Inks Dam on the Colorado arm of Lake LBJ, and then travel west to Llano, Castell and Harper?
