Brannon would put people first

The citizens of San Marcos deserve a change in the culture at City Hall. For far too long, the Mayor and City Council have paid little attention to the people who have made San Marcos their home, choosing instead to follow their own agendas or pander to special interests.

Beginning with the city water fluoride issue where the city sued some of its citizens in an attempt to thwart the right of the people to petition, to the proposal to put a one-lane roundabout on Hunter road, City Hall has not put the people first.

H-E-B should build elsewhere

H-E-B wants to build at Hunter and Wonder World. The city is about to allow it. This is a bad move.

I’m not driven by “not in my back yard” sentiments. I like walkable communities. My husband bikes to work. I was intrigued by having more dining options in some variation of the Lindsey Hill project. We’re keen on development.
