Toyo ‘T’ Hada

Toyo “T” Hada, 94, of San Marcos, passed away on March 4, 2013. “T” was born in Loomis, CA on June 29, 1918 to F.T. (Frank) and Otei Yamasaki. “T” married Sam I. Hada on January 20, 1940 and to this marriage six children were born: Dan, Lucille, Gene, Howard, Patty and Gloria. She always put her family first and enjoyed raising her children and caring after her grandchildren.
“T” enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, walks and bird watching with Lil Norman, her outings with Mildred Scott and Verna Blaschke, going to the ballet, Scrabble and reading.
“T” was preceded in death by her husband Sam; daughter Lucille; sisters Midori Akimoto and June Nishida. She is survived by sons Dan Hada and wife Peggy of Stafford, Gene Hada of New Braunfels, Howard Hada and wife Clara of Davie, FL and daughters Patty Derrickson and husband Jehu of San Marcos and Gloria Snell and husband Jonathan of San Marcos; seven grandchildren, Christina Hayes and husband Robert of Trumansburg, NY, Jeffrey Hada of Michigan, Marcos Haderxhanaj and wife Monica of San Marcos, Jennifer Aranda of Pflugerville, Laura Haderxhanaj of Atlanta, GA, Andrie Hada of New Braunfels and Brian Hada of New Braunfels; Great grandchildren Gavin, Jesse, Caden, Kaleb and Cecelia. She is survived by brother Hiro Yamasaki of Pleasanton, CA; and sisters Fumi Sugimoto of Gardena, CA, Ida Yamada and husband Tas of St. Clair Shores, MI.
The family would like to thank Monica Haderxhanaj, Community Fellowship Presbyterian Church, CTMC Home Health and CTMC Hospice for all of the love and support given to “T.”
A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in San Marcos on Friday, March 8, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Carol Clarke of First Presbyterian Church and Rev. Dr. Helen T. Boursier, PhD, of Community Fellowship Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Fellowship Presbyterian Church, 6761 FM 1102/Hunter Road, New Braunfels. If you knew “T” you loved her.
