SMCISD board, bond forum set
The San Marcos Area League of Women Voters will host a public forum focusing on the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District's (SMCISD) upcoming school board and $76,980,000 bond election at 7 p.m. Monday, April 29, at the San Marcos Activity Center.
At the forum, the two candidates for Place 5, the only contested board slot, will be invited to introduce themselves and San Marcos CISD Superintendent Mark Eads will explain the two bond propositions that will appear on the ballot for the May 11 election.
Eads will entertain questions about the bond propositions from the audience after his presentation.
Those attending will have the opportunity to meet the two trustee candidates during a reception following the bond proposition discussion. Candidates are incumbent John Crowley and Michelle Pope Hamilton.
