College Football: State bounces back in form

Hell Week is almost over for Texas State, but there is still work left to be done for Dennis Franchione’s bunch.

Last Saturday the Bobcats went through their eighth and ninth practices in six days, which included three two-a-day workouts. Texas State woke up at 8 a.m. each day last week and wore pads in all but two of those practices.

When Franchione let the Bobcats show up in helmets and shorts last Thursday morning, the defense didn’t hold up its end of the bargain. A number of busted coverages and an overall lazy approach allowed the offense to run amok.
