Daniel L. ‘Dan’ Hannon

The academic theatre world lost one of their own on July 22, 2015 when Professor Emeritus Daniel L. ‘Dan’ Hannon died. 

Dr. Hannon had a vibrant career as scene designer and professor. 

Dan is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara J. Hannon, their daughters Sharon L. Hannon Macomber and Michele Hannon, their sons Robert D., Michael A., and Daniel Sean, and grandsons Gabriel and Alexander Rios-Hannon.

Dr. W. C. Newberry

Beloved husband, father, and friend, Dr. W. C. Newberry, of New Braunfels, passed away on July 25, 2015 at the age of 83 years.  He was born in Gonzales on November 15, 1931 to James Earl “Jack” and Annie (Frank) Newberry.  Dr. Newberry acquired his Bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University, Master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, and P.h.D. from the University of Texas.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in San Marcos.

Roland Rochelle Crayton

Roland Rochelle Crayton Sr., of Austin, TX, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Koreen Crayton, his children, Kiana Crayton and Roland Crayton Jr., along with a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jo Crayton, his grandmother, Dorothy Mae Crayton and grandfather, Rev L.C. Crayton. 

Meliton Rodriguez



Meliton Rodriguez, Jr., 62, of San Marcos, died July 25, 2015. 

He is survived by his wife, Teresa S. Rodriguez.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 29, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Los Angeles Funeral Home with prayer service starting at 7 p.m.

Chapel service will be Thursday, July 30, at 10 a.m. at Los Angeles Funeral Home with burial to follow at San Juan Cemetery in Reedville.
